The Mercer County Community Development Department works hard to put our county in a better position for economic growth.

We must respond to new and different projects to make sure that the county moves ahead with jobs and new investments. Mercer County Community Development attracts new businesses to the area and has been successful with the help of other organizations, the city, villages and townships.

In the past 5 years we have been fortunate to have convinced companies from Japan, Canada, and the Netherlands to call Mercer County their home. As hard as we work on the attraction of new business, we work much harder to keep the ones we already have.

Many expansions of our great companies have led to the addition of substantial new jobs and large investments in Mercer County. Our businesses are some of the greatest assets we have and we must take care of them. The competition is too great from the outside not to take this seriously.
